25 Years Protein Crystallography and beyond...

On friday November 22th 2019 we celebrate 25 years of protein crystallography and beyond at Utrecht University by hosting a symposium featuring 5 former PhD/Postdoc from the Gros lab, who will present recent highlights from their current careers. The symposium is open to all, but if you wish to attend, you are requested to register here. The symposium will be followed by career program for current PhD and master students from the chemistry department ,where they can discuss career opportunities with former PhD students from the crystallography lab, who have pursued various career paths. The symposium and career program will be followed by a "borrel" from 17:00-18:00h in the Mezanninezaal, Minaert building. Finally, we will end the day with a grand party for invitees only.

In those 25 years over a hundred PhD students, PostDoc's and technicians spend a shorter or longer time in our lab. In addition, we were happy to welcome numerous bachelor and master students. Their contributions resulted in the production of >30 doctoral theses and >200 scientific publications. Furthermore, 188 structures were deposited in the RSCB Protein Databank (See: Structure Gallery.) and 13 depositions were made to the EMDB
